Celebrity Lookalikes Who Lived Decades Apart

Many of the celebrities today have a lot of look-alikes. It’s not really a big surprise. Celebrities are admired and celebrated so much by their fans; they copy their look and style. Some, I believe, would not just get their hair done like Beyonce, they go to the degree of making their nose done like hers. And that’s just crazy! But we’re talking about a different kind of look-alike here. This is more like having a twin somewhere in the world. Creepily though, not at the same time. Some are even centuries apart. Don’t believe us? Read on, and you’ll see!

JENNIFER LAWRENCE AND ZUBAIDA THARWAT

If you don’t know who Zubaida Tharwat is, you might want to check out the Egyptian version of Hollywood because she’s a known celebrity in Egypt. She was tagged to have the most beautiful eyes in classic Egyptian cinema. She’s had several movies and TV credits to her name and has had a successful career, especially in the 50s to the 70s. Born in 1940, she’s five decades older than Jennifer Lawrence, whose eyes and smile are like hers. Oh, did we mention that Lawrence is also known for her eyes?

JIMMY FALLON AND TURKISH REVOLUTIONIST MAHIR ÇAYAN

Everybody loves Jimmy Fallon. We love everything about him–and we love, most of all, his sense of humor. That, for sure, you guys know and cannot deny. This part, though, might be out of your radar, but did you know that Fallon looks a lot like Mahir Çayan? Who’s he? He was born 30 years before Fallon in the year 1946, yet they are like identical twins even to the degree that they have the same mustache. That’s just ridiculously freaky but a pinch funny too, right? Çayan is, by the way, a leader of the People’s Liberation Party-Front in Turkey. He was a revolutionary communist, and here’s what’s weird: in 1972, two years before Fallon was born, soldiers killed Cayan. Maybe Çayan was reincarnated in the form of Fallon?

PAUL GIAMATTI AND WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Nope, we’re not avoiding this. Because Paul Giamatti looks exactly like William Shakespeare! Yes, from their hairline to their goatee and probably even their body structure. I mean that changes every now and then, but hey, honestly. Isn’t the earring the only way you can tell them apart? Besides the more modern photo and clothing, of course. For sure, Giamatti wouldn’t mind accepting this. Shakespeare does take credit for having written a lot of successful screenplays–over four centuries’ worth of screenplays, in fact. But, Giamatti’s movie credits are super successful, too. Shakespeare probably wouldn’t mind being compared to him.

MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL AND ROSE WILDER LANE

If you look back in American history, you will find one influential activist in the person of Rose Wilder Lane. She was born back in the year 1886 and grew up to become a very influential journalist. She was also famous for her role as one of the founders of the American libertarian movement. Lane fought for freedom to such a degree that she poured herself into the movement and even supported it financially. Quite interesting, though, is how she resembles Maggie Gyllenhaal not only in the looks department but also in the passion she gives to her projects and activism. Also, in one of Gyllenhaal’s movies, she played the journalist role so well in the film Crazy Heart that she was nominated for Best Actress.

CHUCK NORRIS AND VINCENT VAN GOGH

Vincent Van Gogh is known far and wide for his iconic impressionist paintings. All students of the arts studied his works and mediums. But if you look closely, you’ll find how this Mid-18th century painter looks similar to Carlos Ray Norris, better known as Chuck Norris. Could it be that he is actually the doppelganger of the iconic artist? The gap in their age is eight decades apart, and Chuck never actually painted. But no one can deny their similarities, not just in their looks but also in the degree of passion they both bring to their art as artists in their respective fields.

JACK BLACK AND THE MODEL FOR ROSSINI’S ‘THE BARBER OF SEVILLE’

Jack Black is an American actor, comedian, singer, songwriter, and quite recently became a Youtube personality. His credits include numerous blockbuster movies. He also has a musical background with his band, Tenacious D, and we know for sure that he never played a part in any opera show, let alone pose for the poster of The Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini. This poster, from decades past, led people to think the guy resembles Jack Black. You will see in one comment that a viewer noticed how one guy in the poster resembled Jack Black. And right he is!

JON STEWART AND HENRY WARD BEECHER

Henry Ward Beecher was born to a Presbyterian preacher in 1813 during the time of slavery. He was 8th of 13 children, and among his siblings are known authors, educators, and activists. Yes, he, too, was an abolitionist and was known to be one of the best-known clergymen of his era. Quite interestingly, his modern-day doppelgänger, if you rather call it that, is Jon Stewart, who was born centuries later. They don’t just look alike, they both share a huge degree of talent in public speaking, and are both very influential in every way. Stewart is known for his daily talk show, The Daily Show, and his 9/11 campaign for the health benefits of responders.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA AND GINGER ROGERS

Ginger Rogers is an American golden age actress, dancer, and singer. Born as Virginia Katherine McMath in 1911, she easily won the hearts of people with her talent. It’s not necessarily creepy, but it’s quite a wonder to see this 21st-century version of her. Christina Aguilera was born in 1980, and just like Rogers, she became a popular singer in the golden age of pop music. They are so much alike in looks, and they both showed a significant degree of passion for singing and dancing. Really, they could be distant relatives that no one just bothered to trace?

RUPERT GRINT AND SIR DAVID WILKIE

Sir David Wilkie was born in Scotland in the year 1785. At an early age, he developed a love for art. His talent for it developed to such a degree that he became one of the most famous painters of his time. He’s known for painting portraits of the royals and was even given the title: Principal Painter in Ordinary to King William IV and Queen Victoria. In one of his trips in the Middle East, he became one of the passengers buried at sea on Gibraltar’s coast. More than two centuries later, Harry Potter film star Rupert Grint was born and ended up looking almost exactly like him.

KEANU REEVES AND PAUL MOUNET

Paul Mounet was a French actor born in 1847. He first studied to become a doctor, but eventually changed his career. He began acting in 1880 for a film credit in the movie Horace. Later, in 1909, he claimed his fame after the release of the successful movie, Macbeth. Today, Keanu Reeves is an American actor who himself also starred in a Shakespeare classic–Much Ado About Nothing. Look at how they look alike! It’s so improbably insane! Don’t believe us? See for yourself!
